Country Notes >
Swaziland Overprints | Batum Aloe Trees | North Borneo 1888-1892 | Samoa Express

As this site develops, selected notes on various countries will appear, with a focus on proper identification and fakes.

Some initial topics planned are the Batum aloe tree “Georgian Prince” and other forgeries, along with the “British Occupation” forgeries. The early North Borneo low value coat of arms issues are also a fun area to study, as many of the stamps offered on the market today are faked. Many copies offered of the first Swaziland issue have been forged on reprinted Transvaal stamps.
